Hydrogen Fuel Planning...

I just got back from Bermuda, a small island off the coast of North Carolina. While on the island the power plant suffered a massive failure , resulting in island wide blackout. Also, while on the island I was motoring around on a moped. What I found most annoying was inhaling the exhaust of other mopeds and cars. After the power outage I got to thinking, a small island like this would make a great place for testing an alternative energy solution.

I decided, since I don't have the resources to do any large scale projects, I can focus my energies on some simple around the house projects, like powering my computer using hydrogen fuel. I am hoping to use the power of the sun to kick start the electrolysis, then I figure the power output from the hydrogen produced should be enough to keep that process going... I have a lot of reading to do before I'll really have a good idea of how to make this happen. I think my first project should be to do something simple, then maybe I'll be ready for something more elaborate.
